Vegas, Day 1
This has been a long time coming, but I’ve only recently found enough time to sit down and write this out. As some of you may already know, early in March I took a six-day, five-night trip to our magical Mecca, Las Vegas. I had a wonderful time, and really want to share my experience with all of you. I went with other people, so much to my chagrin, not every show was magic-centric, but everything was magical in its own right.
On my first night there I had a wonderful dinner at Mix (Thanks to a slight “Mix” up I received more than I asked for…literally), followed by my first show: Penn & Teller. I had the opportunity to see Penn & Teller about five years ago, and was floored by the amazingly polished performance that they delivered then. Five years later, they are still delivering. They have one of the smartest, wittiest, funniest, [insert your own –est here] acts out there, and I hope they never change. Although this was their last night before they took a two-week hiatus, or maybe because of it, their performance was tight all the way through. You could really tell that even after 31 years they both still loved what they were doing. After the show I spoke with them for a bit, got them to sign an issue of Genii with them on the cover, and expected to just go back to my hotel and rest my weary, jet-lagged mind. However, as I was walking away, Teller called out to me. When I had walked back to him, he loosened his [mangled] tie, pulled it off, and gave it to me. I, of course immediately put it on, and as I left, wearing Teller’s tie, I could just make out Penn saying, “Oh yeah, that’ll get you la…” You know what, I’d better keep this clean; I’ll leave the dirty stuff to Penn.

The Game's Afoot
This is it, my first "official" blog post. That unofficial post below this one doesn't count. It was a test, to make sure that this whole thing worked properly.
Hopefully, you will check back here often, as I am going to try to blog as much as possible. My first order of business, however is going to be moving "My Fabulous Las Vegas Adventure" here so that it is much more accessible. Expect to see that in the next few days.
Feel free to comment on this or any post I make. You can say whatever you want, just try to keep it clean...I have faith you guys will have no problem with that. Enjoy the blog and the new site in general!
